DEN vs IND DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Two in-form teams will be looking for win as Denver Nuggets host Indiana Pacers in the regular season NBA match at Pepsi Center, in Denver, Colorado, USA, on Sunday morning (IST).

Denver Nuggets:

The possession of talent can be a common aspect but nurturing it and use it to execute a game-changing move is what makes a man stand out from the crowd.

Dallas Mavericks nearly pulled off a magnificent coup in Colorado. Not only because they were on the cusp of winning the game but they arrived on that periphery after nullifying the opponents’ biggest threat.

Nikola Jokic was withheld to the state of being anonymous for the first three quarters. By his productivity in the match, he was set to finish the game with his face down, gazing the court and perhaps bickering in his own mind about the turn of the events in front of his own fans.

However, he changed from being just another player on the court to the kind of superstar we are so familiar with, just when his team needed him the most.

Mavericks had a 10-point lead going into the fourth quarter but were pegged back by the fight from Nuggets in the penultimate quarter. However, Luka Doncic looked set to give Mavericks the game through his ferocious dunk, putting his team up 99-98 with only seconds remaining.

But Jokic had other ideas and saved his best till the last. He had the ball in his hands in the dying seconds and killed off opponents with a buzzer-beater two-pointer. This was just his fourth basket of the game and he finished with 14 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

While Paul Millsap rolled back the years scoring a game-high 33 points.

Indiana Pacers:

Indiana Pacers continue to defy the odds in the absence of their best player. Well, they have been doing so for some time, since January when Victor Oladipo ruptured his right quad tendon. The common perception around that time was that Pacers would struggle to hold onto their playoff position. It was anything but.

On Friday, Pacers hosted former star Paul George as Oklahoma City Thunder visited the city for a regular season match. The host had a poor record against Paul George-led this season, losing the last two. It looked set to be the 3rd defeat in a row when Thunder took a 19-point lead in the 2nd quarter. Any hope for comeback looked distant at that time as Pacers were poor overall.

But the former Thunder Domantas Sabonis led the charge as he created space down the line against Thunder’s 2nd unit. He made 7 of 12 shots and 12 of 13 foul shots and ended with 26 points.

While it was shooting-guard Wesley Matthews who made the most important basket of the match deep in the regulation time. The moment came when Bogdan Bogdanovic’s (23 points) failed attempted shot from inside the paint was grabbed by Matthews who buried a two-pointer to put Pacers ahead at 108-106.

With the win, Pacers remained at 3rd in the Eastern Conference.

Regular Season Record-
Denver Nuggets: W-45, L-22
Indiana Pacers: W-44, L-25

Players to watch out for:
Denver Nuggets:

Nikola Jokic – Behind the rise of Denver Nuggets is Nikola Jokic’s indispensable performance. He has been consistent, dropping points, and racking up a team-high rebound as well as assists this season. When the situation calls for, more often than not he turns up.
