Dallas Mavericks will be looking for their first win in the 2019 NBA Pre-Season when they host Milwaukee Bucks at American Airlines Center.

Following two defeat in the first two practice games, Mavericks’ pre-season plans may not have brought desired results, but there are a lot of positives to take from the defeats.

One of the positives has been Kristaps Porzingis’ return to full fitness. The 24-year-old Latvian was deemed as a future star when New York Knicks traded him, but the injuries hampered his growth, forcing the franchise to sell him to another team. Somebody else’s loss is somebody’s gain, and it looks like the case as Dallas Mavericks saw what he can do while on the court, in the last game, as he dropped 19 points in just 18 games.

Milwaukee Bucks, meanwhile, are one of the true giants of Eastern Conference and will be looking to repeat the record of last season where they racked up 60 wins in the regular season.

It’s very much a realistic target for them, as they boast the reigning MVP on their roster, and have added some real talent in the off-season. No wonder, there are talks of them winning the coveted title.

As mentioned above, Dallas got the taste of what they got from the Knicks in Porzingis in a five-year, $158 million deal. The 7-foot-3 forward made a return to the court for the very first performance since tearing ACL at Madison Square Garden 20 months ago and ended up scoring 18 points and seven rebounds. He should get around 20 minutes here as well.

Luke Doncic was in the starting 5 against Detroit Pistons and ended up clocking 28 minutes. he should be fine to start the game here as well, though,= with fewer minutes.

J. J. Barea is expected to return to the lineup against Milwaukee Bucks. The 35-year-old guard has missed the first two preseason games due to the rest purposes.

Rick Carlisle may stick with heavy rotation here as well. It means 2nd unit players like Seth Curry, Jalen Brunson and Antonius Cleveland will all be eying significant minutes here.

Eric Bledsoe left the court early against Utah Jazz due to an oblique strain. Bucks are yet to reveal the extent of his injury, but the 29-year-old will definitely sit this game out.

Twenty-three-year forward D.J. Wilson will be missing the game with a hamstring injury, but Sterling Brown and RErsan IIlysova, who missed the last game due to rest purposes, may be called upon for this game.
