DAL vs MEM Dream11: Hello, dear NBA readers, how is the midseason fantasy window serving you? Well, it is always a tricky job, isn’t it? You never know what selection of players can get cold and which one picks up the steam. Then there are some players who are able to put on peak performances despite shooting poorly, as their influence is beyond just scoring. That is what makes different forms of fantasy activities fun too, the unpredictability and each game having its own value. For fantasy fans, the Regular Season is as important as the NBA Finals.
Anyway, in this game, the Dallas Mavericks will host the Memphis Grizzlies. Dallas has won more than 80% of the games this month which has made them go six games above the 50% win record. Mavericks are a highly effective defensive team and with a closer like Luka Doncic surrounded by a more than stable supporting cast, Dallas can make a lot of noise as the postseason will near.
Talk about making noise, the Grizzlies have made a lot of noise, overall, even more so than the Mavericks. The Grizzlies have twice as many wins as losses and they have an incredible depth that enables them to get through despite their players missing from the fray. Are the Mavericks title contenders?

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis
Mavericks: Defense is the calling card, Luka and Porzingis are clicking
Mavericks have established a great foundation of having a top-notch defensive team this season. The Mavericks squad keeps showing that they have placed a lot of premium on defense and they make the oppositions work for most of the shots instead of just standing around. This makes the other team take tough shots, deep into the shot clock and not only limits shot attempts but also takes out the rhythm of the opposing offense. Dallas has been fielding a powerful unit that after struggling to close out games with Luka out, now has learned to get close victories. Mavericks have an all-around MVP-level guard in Doncic, who helps a team get late points. Meanwhile, Jalen Brunson as a second Point Guard in the starting five has done a wonderful job. Dorian Finney Smith and Maxi Kleber have been two great Power Forwards who can play the physical brand of basketball and of course, Porzingis performs a terrific job of scoring, grabbing rebounds, and playing great help defense. Off the bench, Tim Hardaway brings scoring while Reggie Bullock and Dwight Powell continue the defensive flow going. The Mavericks are not that deep offensively but defensively they have built a solid squad.
Grizzlies: They are the most impressive young squad
Even if the Grizzlies don’t make a deep Playoffs run this season(Not proclaiming they won’t), this team has built a great foundation for the season. Their major players are either rookies, second-year players, third year-player, or fourth-year players, which means that these players have figured out the NBA game and that is a huge accomplishment at such young age. This also means that the management didn’t draft most of these players based on hype but meticulous scouting, for example, Desmond Bane was the 30th pick in the first round during the 2020 Draft, and look how stellar he has been this season. Morant is a premium scorer and playmaker, Jaren Jackson is a two-way big while Clarke has been impressive off the bench as well. Tyus Jones, Kyle Anderson, and De’Anthony Melton are other solid bench options too. Other than that, Steven Adams, no matter how many minutes he plays, has had a profound impact on the rebounding impact and in terms of overall toughness. This is a great base and the Grizzlies may stick with this core for a long time if things click.

NBA Scores, Fantasy Basketball Top Picks
Ja Morant(MEM)
Points: 38
Rebounds: 06
Assists: 06
Steals: 02
Ja has been an exceptional point guard once again and he has picked up his game further since Bane has been out. The highly athletic guard has been on fire recently, scoring 30+ in two games straight and he has dished 6-8 assists regularly this season.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 48-63
Luka Doncic(DAL)
Points: 28
Rebounds: 08
Assists: 08
Steals: 01
Doncic is one of the best players in the league and not only he is a terrific scorer but he can also scrap boards and dish out plenty of assists, however, his ability to hit late shots is a big-time difference-maker. The Guard can score 20+ points, grabs 7-11 rebounds, and dishes 7-12 assists per game regularly. The all-around guard can be chosen as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 47-59
Jaren Jackson(MEM)
Points: 20
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 01
Blocks: 04
Jaren has been having a great season at the big Forward position and his impact can be felt on both ends of the floor on a regular basis. Jaren can score 18-22 points range while clasping 5-10 rebounds and blocking 1+ shots regularly.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 33-45
Kristaps Porzingins(DAL)
Points: 18

Porzingis is a more than handy big and his ability to score, grab rebounds, and also play great defense has been a huge factor for the Mavericks. The big Forward/Center has scored in the 18-24 points range while grabbing 7-11 rebounds a game regularly.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 32-42
Steven Adams(MEM)
Points: 04
Rebounds: 06
Assists: 03
Steals: 04
Adams’ impact goes beyond the stats and the Center provides great rebounding, defensive help, and hustle on a regular basis. Adams has clinched 10+ rebounds per game regularly this season.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 19-29
Jalen Brunson(DAL)
Points: 19
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 01
Jalen has been doing a great job as the second playmaker and also as a constant scoring threat at the one-guard position. He held the fort when Doncic went out. The lefty guard has scored in the 14-19 points range while dishing 4-8 assists a game regularly.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 23-35
DAL vs MEM DREAM11 LINEUP BALANCERS
- Tim Hardaway Jr.(DAL) had 11 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist in the last game. The isolation specialist has been labeled as the “Small Forward” but I see him more as a Shooting Guard. Anyway, Tim has poured in much-needed 11-17 points a game regularly.
- Brandon Clarke(MEM) had 6 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 blocks in the last game. Brandon has scored in the 14-15 points range while grabbing 5-6 rebounds regularly. He is questionable for the game.
- De’Anthony Melton(MEM) had 21 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists in the last game. This was the best game for Melton this month with respect to scoring. Melton has usually scored in the 5-10 range this month.
- Dorian Finney-Smith(DAL) had 5 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal in the last game. Dorian was scoring 10+ more often when Porzingis was out but now a 5-9 points and 4-6 rebounds range seems more expected.
- Maxi Kleber(DAL) had 9 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists in the last contest. Maxi is a tough big Forward and plays important minutes for the team. He has scored 3-9 points and grabs 4-8 rebounds a game regularly.
- Reggie Bullock(DAL) had 3 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist in the last contest. This is pretty much what Bullock does on a regular basis.
- John Konchar(MEM) had 8 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks in the last game. Konchar has usually scored in the 6-9 range while grabbing 5-7 rebounds a game regularly.
- Ziaire Williams(MEM) had 17 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block in the last game. Williams has been up-and-down scoring-wise but hey, he is still a rookie. I expect 8-10 points here.
- Jarrett Culver(MEM), Xavier Tillman don’t get much playing time usually. They score around 2 points or so each game.
- Dwight Powell(DAL) had 6 points, 3 rebounds in the last game. Dwight has seen a reduction in his minutes since Kleber has been paired up with Finney-Smith and Porzingis. A 3-6 points and grabs 3-5 rebounds a game regularly.
