The team that is expected to dominate the Eastern Conference is certainly the most successful franchise in NBA history, Boston Celtics.

They reaffirm that claim in their season opener after putting in a near-perfect performance against another high-profile team in Philadelphia 76ers.

The Greens were sluggish at the start of the game but soon picked up the pace and closed down the first half with 5 points advantage.

Celtics came out in the 2nd half with all guns blazing and went on a 14-5 run at the start. They never fell behind after that run and won the match 105-87 at TD Garden.

That win improved their home record to 10 straight wins over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Kyle Lowry – Arguably, their main man after Kawhi Leonard. He didn’t disappoint in the first game, and in fact, led the scoring chart for his team with 27 points and 8 assists in the game.

Boston Celtics –

Jayson Tatum – If Boston Celtics are being touted as the team to rise in the Eastern Conference, it is partly because they have Jayson Tatum in their ranks, arguably the best young player in NBA. The 21-year-old had a good game last time around, racking up 23 points against the Sixers.

Kyrie Irving – The former Cavaliers man endured a rather unfamiliar bad start in the match. He was on the court for 29 minutes but could only manage 7 points in the game. However, it was his first match following a pair of surgeries on his left knee, so his sluggish start is acceptable.
