Eastern Conference giants Boston Celtics will be playing host to New York Knicks in an NBA match at TD Garden, in Boston, Massachusetts, on Friday morning (IST).

Boston Celtics:

After nearly pressing a self-destructing button, Boston Celtics are finally getting back to their best form of late. The Greens are now on a three-game winning streak, beating New Orleans Pelicans, Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves in that run.

Celtics will hope that they at least finish in the top three in the regular season to have a benign opponent in the first round of playoff season. Because topping the table may be slipping beyond their grasp after Toronto Raptors’ near-perfect run.

New York Knicks’ season is wandering on a familiar trajectory this season.  A negative start to the season and sitting outside the playoff positions, Knicks already have a mountain to climb to get into the top-8 even at this early stage of the campaign.

However, at this moment, it doesn’t look like that they are capable of scripting a repair job. They have lost a staggering 17 times in the season, 10 times in the 17 away games.

The former partner of LeBron James is, without a shadow of any doubt, Celtics’ best player and is the only player this season to average in the 20s, 22.2 to be precise.
The 26-year-old Guard is a key which unlocks success for the Greens and could be the same for NBA fantasy players.
Jayson Tatum – The player who received the words of praise from none other than LeBron James during the tussle between Boston and Cavaliers last season, is only 20. But his stats and contribution are good enough to make a seasoned player proud of the numbers.
This season, Tatum is averaging 16.3 and is scoring 6.6 rebounds per game.

New York Knicks:

Tim Hardaway Jr. – The 26-year-old Guard is Knicks’ best hope to get a positive result in this match. He is dropping 22.1 points per game this season, coming out from 33.4 minutes per game.
Enes Kanter – His average for the season stands at 14.9, which is significantly higher than his career average of 11.8 points per game.
Kanter’s overall contribution is unparalleled in other departments, as he is racking up a team-high 11.8 rebounds per game.
