Boston Celtics will be looking for their 2nd consecutive win when they host Dallas Mavericks in an NBA match at TD  Garden, in Boston, on Saturday morning (IST).

The Greens returned to winning ways with a 115-102 win over Minnesota Timberwolves in the last game. It was not the rarest instance of them winning a match but they have certainly lost a bit of momentum in the last month or so.

An 8-game winning streak was ended by three consecutive losses last month and that’s where  the dots started to widen in Boston Celtics’ performances.

Dallas Mavericks:
Five players scored in the double digits while the 2nd unit enjoyed an eventful outing as well as Dallas Mavericks beat Charlotte Hornets 84-122 for their biggest win by points this season.

It was one of those games where almost every player struggled for the consistency, both inside the paint and beyond the arc. But Dallas had more players striving and making more efforts in the match, and in the end had too much for them in the locker.

The hosts, Hornets, had the lead for the last time at 16-14 in the match in the first quarter and trailer all night, losing the first quarter 26-42, second 15-23, third 24-29 and fourth by 19-28.

Believe it or not Mavericks’ Luka Doncic and Dennis Smith Jr. topped the points charts with both players dropping 18 points each in the match.

Still just 20, his average of 16.3 points per game doesn’t do justice to his importance and contribution to the team.
Gordon Hayward – Have to mention him after his phenomenal and the season best performance in the last match against Minnesota Timberwolves. He scored 35 points in the match and at a time when Celtics were without Kyrie Irving.

Dallas Mavericks:
Luka Doncic – He is leading the charge for his team this season. He is just 19 but has become a central figure for his team. The Slovenian is racking up 19.5 points per game.
Harrison Barnes – The other stalwart in Dallas Mavericks’ roster is Barnes. The former Golden State Warriors guard is dropping 18.5 points per game this season.
