ATL vs BKN Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Brooklyn Nets will look to extend their winning streak to five games when they host Atlanta Hawks in an NBA match at Barclays Center, in New York City, on Monday morning (IST).
Brooklyn Nets:
Brooklyn Nets are making up for their slow start to the season with a solid display in the last few matches. They are coming into this match after winning four times in as many matches, a streak bettered only by two teams across both the conferences, Indiana Pacers (Win-6) and Boston Celtics (Win-8).
The last match produced a 125-118 win over Washington Wizards at Barclays Center which moved them to 10th in the Eastern Conference.
Nets were led by Spencer Dinwiddie who scored 27 points in a 31-minute show off the bench. With team’s highest scorer Caris LeVert missing the match with a foot injury, Brooklyn didn’t depend on one or two players for points. In fact, out of nine players that Nets fielded in this match, six touched the double digits mark.
Amongst the starters, Joe Harris dropped 19 points while Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Rodions Kurucs scored 15 points.
Atlanta Hawks:
Atlanta Hawks are now used to big defeats and have made the foot of the table their home for some indefinite time period, or as it looks. Last season, they finished last in the Eastern Conference and a huge 19 points adrift of playoff spots.
It’s the similar story this season as well with only Chicago Bulls’ pathetic record keeping them away from the foot. Hawks have won only six games this season, losing a staggering 22 times and are now on a two-game losing streak heading into this match.
In the last match, they were bulldozed by Boston Celtics 129-108 at TD Garden.
Regular Season Record-
Brooklyn Nets: W-12, L-18
Atlanta Hawks: W-6, L-22
Players to watch out for:
Brooklyn Nets:
D’Angelo Russell – The 22-year-old is struggling for consistency this season, and more so in the last three where he scored a combined 29 points. However, he has a talent and there’s no about that and has scored in the 30s with his 38 points show against Philadelphia 76ers being his season best.
Spencer Dinwiddie – He is part of the 2nd unit and features from the bench most of the time. In fact, the 25-year-old has started only three matches this season. But the 2014 2nd round pick can make a great impact and is able to drop big numbers from the bench.
Atlanta Hawks:
John Collins – He is back from the injury and is leading his team from the front. The 21-year-old is racking up points at 17.6 per game. Though the numbers are not that impressive but considering his age and the way Hawks are playing, he is performing good enough.
Trae Young – He has a big future, so much so that many NBA pundits are hailing him as the next Stephen Curry. Well, in hindsight this may be only a prediction but he has the potential to be a real superstar in the future. Still, only 20, Atlanta star is 2nd in points chart, scoring 15.7 points per game.
