PUR-W vs CAN-W Dream11: FIBA Women’s World Cup is in the Playoffs mode and from here on, three victories in a row for a squad will mean they are the title winners. The Group Stage was largely predictable minus some surprises. And one of the surprises that made it to the Quarter-Finals is Puerto Rico. They will take on Canada here.
Puerto Rico won two out of three games and one of their losses was just by three points, which was against Belgium. They look in great touch but will face a red-hot team here. Canada started with a three-win streak and after a close to a three-point loss to Australia, they finished with four out of five games. They have an elite defense and are packed with physical players.

PUR-W vs CAN-W Dream11 FIBA WOMEN’S World CUp Projections, Stats & Analysis
Puerto Rico was largely driven by Arella Guirantes, but they couldn’t have been effective without Myra Hollingshed, who gives this small-sized much needed height at 6 feet four inches. The Puerto Rico outfit has played amazing defense and their tendency to go hard after the ball has paid off. Meanwhile, their offense is limited but Jennifer O’Neil’s return to form bolsters their chances. However, they may lack the tools to tackle a Canadian squad that doesn’t pull any punches back on defense and has a more well-rounded unit in all aspects.
Canada did lose against Autralia but they have proven their mettle. The guard galore of Kia Nurse, Shay Colley, and Nirra Fields, provide top-notch shot-creation and off-the-ball shooters. However, the two main catalysts have been Kayla Alexander and Bridget Carleton, the former a strong low-post player and the latter a top-class three-point shooter. Apart from this, the physicality of Leaticia Amihere and Natalie Achonwa has given the team a lot of muscle. Overall, the team has been incredible both inside and outside.
