NYL vs SEA Dream11: We are well into the WNBA season and there have been some amazing battles already. Unlike the NBA, the seeding in the NBA is spread across conferences and the teams are ranked one-twelve where the top eight teams regardless of conference qualify for the Playoffs. First Round consists of a best-of-three series while the Semis and Finals have best-of-five formats. However, we are a long way away from that as New York Liberty faces the Seattle Storm.
The Liberty has been unable to get going to start the season, losing five of their first six games, and this season looks like a repeat of the last season. In their last game, they lost to the Lynx 78:84 despite a 23 points performance by Natasha Howard. On the other hand, the Storm has won two in a row to make it to three wins and three losses this season. In the last match, the Storm defeated the Sparks 83:80 as Breanna Stewart dipped in 28 points. Can the Liberty produce a wonderful effort here?

Liberty’s same-old issues, Storm figuring it out
The Liberty has once again struggled on the offensive end to start the season. Sabrina Ionescu despite some strong nights has mostly struggled to get going and her inconsistencies hurt the team. However, it has not only been Sabrina who is off the mark, Natasha had 23 in the last game but she has also struggled. The big plus is that Rebecca Allen is back and boy, they needed her! But the trouble is that Liberty will need Betnijah Laney to do more. Xu Han has bolstered the bench but she has not been able to get it done on the defensive end.
With Breanna Stewart running the show, the Storm offense and defense both look strong. Meanwhile, Jordan Loyd despite some tough nights, has been a reliable scoring and playmaking option. Sue Bird’s offense is now limited to mostly playmaking but she can still nail the ball. Magbebor keeps growing but I still don’t think that the Storm has found their offensive groove. Gabby Williams hasn’t been able to make an offensive impact. Prince and January bring veteran production off the bench but the Storm really needs more from players other than Stewart.

NBA Scores, Fantasy Basketball Top Picks
Sabrina Ionescu(LAS)
Points: 10
Rebounds: 09
Assists: 07
Guard Ionescu has been off his game for most parts lately and that has surely resulted in the long line of losses for the Liberty. I believe the all-around guard will bounce back here and be in 16-22 points, 6-9 assists, and 5-9 rebounds range. She can be selected as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 26-41
Breanna Stewart(SEA)
Points: 28
Rebounds: 07
Assists: 02
Steals: 01
Forward Stewart is a versatile scorer and has a bunch of moves to showcase while being an incredible rebounder and defender. I expect a 19-26 points and 6-9 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-41
Natasha Howard(LAS)
Points: 23
Rebounds: 00
Assists: 06
Steals: 01
Forward Howard has done a great job as a rebounder but her offense has been a bit off the mark mostly. I believe the Forward will be in 13-19 points and 6-9 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-34
Jewell Loyd(SEA)
Points: 11
Rebounds: 03
Assists: 04
Steals: 02
Guard Loyd has struggled to shoot and she really needs to figure out a way to be more effective on the offensive end. I believe she will be in 17-24 points and 5-8 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 18-32
Rebecca Allen(LAS)
Points: 21
Rebounds: 01
Assists: 02
Steals: 02
Allen made four of her eight triples in the last game and she can be an incredibly effective shooter, something which the Liberty needs. I believe she will be in 17-23 points range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 24-34
Ezi Magbebor(SEA)
Points: 09
Rebounds: 11
Assists: 02
Blocks: 03
Steals: 02
Ezi is a brilliant defender, rebounder, but yes, she still has a long way to go as a scorer and may need to develop a better shooting range. I believe she will be in 10-15 points, 9-13 rebounds, and 2-4 blocks range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-34
LAS vs SEA DREAM11 LINEUP BALANCERS
- Sam Whitcomb(LAS) had 2 points, 9 assists, 3 rebounds in the last game. Whitcomb shot just 1/11 in the last game but she provides great playmaking and all-around production. I believe she will be in 5-9 points, 4-7 assists, and 3-5 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 10-23 - Stefanie Dolson(LAS) had 2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks in the last game. Center Dolson has been a tough rebounder and defender but she is not an assertive offensive player. I expect a 4-8 points and 5-9 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 10-19 - Sue Bird(SEA) had 8 points, 8 assists, 3 rebounds in the last game. Bird has been an imposing playmaker but can be a bit off from the field these days. I believe she will be in 7-13 points, 5-9 assists, and 3-4 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 16-26 - Xu Han(LAS) had 11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks in the last game. Han has a lovely shooting touch from mid-range, can provide great rebounding and if she improves her defense, she can get a starting role. I expect a 9-15 points and 4-7 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 11-22 - Gabby Williams(SEA) had 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals in the last game. Wing Williams is an incredible defender and hustler but her offense hasn’t been clicking at all. I expect a 4-8 points, 4-7 rebounds, and 1-3 blocks/steals range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 12-22 - Janet Lavender(SEA) had 4 points, 2 assists, 1 rebound in the last game. Forward Janet has done a decent job off the bench but she will need to do more. I expect a 4-8 points and 3-6 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 10-16 - Michael Onyenwere(LAS) had 8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal in the last game. Onyenwere can provide quality minutes off the bench as an inside scorer and rebounder. I believe he will be in 5-9 points and 4-6 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 10-16 - Ephiphany Prince(SEA) had 8 points, 2 assists, 1 rebound, 1 steal in the last game. Veteran Ephiphany has been aggressive offensively. I expect a 5-9 points and 2-4 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 10-18 - Briann January(SEA) had 5 points, 5 assists in the last game. Briann is an incredible defender and I believe she will be in 4-7 points and 3-6 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 5-13 - Crystal Dangerfield(LAS) had 1 point, 4 assists, 4 rebounds in the last game. Crsyal has been unable to find a home this season, will Liberty stick around with her?
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 8-17
