ESP vs LTU Dream11: FIBA EuroBasket will hit the Playoffs mode and we are going into the Round of 16 in what is shaping up to be an exciting round full of heavyweights that showcased their prowess in the first round of the tournament. In this game of the Round of 16, Spain is going to take on Lithuania to get things going.
In Group A, Spain did a brilliant job of winning four out of five affairs. They come into this game after a close 72:69 win against Turkey as Willy Hernangomez dipped in 15 points.
Lithuania barely made it out of Group B, winning just two of the five games. In the last game, they defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 87:70 as Marius Grigonis dropped 16 points.

Lithuania will have to do a lot of lifting here
Spain isn’t the same team, the powerhouse that it used to be. The duo of Gasol brothers has not been playing, and brilliant Point Guard Ricky Rubio isn’t here, but despite that the presence of Willy Hernangomez has made them a strong frontline team, nothing like in the past, but still formidable. Lorenzo Brown has been doing a great job of playing but the overall three-point shooting of the team needs work at this point. Rebounding-wise, the team is still strong.
Lithuania was below-par during the Group Stage but here they are, starting from scratch and a deep run is still possible. With Jonas Valanciunas in the middle, they have a solid scorer, rebounder, and a help defender. Sabonis adds further depth to one of the most loaded international frontcourts while Guard Marius Grigionis has been getting it done. How will they respond against Spain in what I believe can be a decent chance at winning here?
