Nuggets: Tough ask in the West

Last season, the Nuggets missed their two major players in Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray. Now, they are back and this will improve them on both ends of the floor. But the West is as loaded as ever and a deep run may be tricky. The Warriors, the Grizzlies, the Suns, the Mavericks, the Timberwolves, and the Clippers all look like contenders, so the road remains tricky. But yes, with Jokic, who is a top-five player, anything is possible. If Murray and Michael Porter Jr. remain healthy for most parts then the Nuggets trio can be unstoppable. The bench looks decent but not as deep as the likes of the Warriors/Grizzlies.

Suns: Playoffs blues

The Suns posted the best record in the league last year but in the Playoffs, they fizzled out late against the Mavericks, playing some weird brand of basketball on both ends. Chris Paul was unable to end his non-title curse and once again, he will be gauged closely to see whether he can lift it. With Devin Booker at his peak, Mikal Bridges close to his peak, a high-quality inside player Deandre Ayton and a decent bench, the Suns will fancy their chances again. Will they be able to make a deep Finals run like they did back in 2021? One thing is for sure, they have been a top-two squad in the West for two years.
