CAN-W vs USA-W Dream11: FIBA Women’s World Cup is in Knockout stages and the tournament has lived up to its billing. We are just a couple of days removed from learning which team will clinch the title and that is something to keep an eye on. In this game, the tournament favorite USA will take on Canada in a Semi-Final battle.
Canada continued their stellar campaign as they dismantled the overachieing Puerto Rico 79:60 in another well-rounded offensive and an elite defensive effort. Kia Nurse led the way with 17 points. On the other hand, the USA did what USA does best, deal an utter beatdown, coming into the game after defeating Serbia 88:55 as Alyssa Thomas had another dominating performance. Can Canada beat the overwhelming odds here.

CAN-W vs USA-W Dream11 FIBA WOMEN’S World CUp Projections, Stats & Analysis
While it seems improbable that Canada can beat the USA outfit, their defense has been top-notch. The USA has a more athletic team but physically, the Canadian team can match-up I guess. Size difference can be an issue and the USA despite not having their best game, rode a 52-35 rebounding advantage to beat Serbia. There is no doubt that Canada has more tools than Serbia in terms of offense but they will have to counter the physicality and athleticism of the USA that is loaded with elite defenders, especially in the frontline of Wilson, Stewart, and Thomas.
Talking about rebounding, Canada does have the physical nature, but they can get beat on boards even after that. They have done an amazing job of keeping the turnovers low and that will be key against the USA which is well-adept at snatching the ball away to trigger fastbreak situations. This game will require Canada to be more than at their best because we have learned that even on off-nights, the USA has won by 15+ points regularly. Canada has achieved the scoring balance, has figured out the defensive, has a loaded team from guard to Center, but then again, this is the USA we are talking about. This can still be a cracker of a game.

Breanna Stewart(USA-W)
Points: 02
Rebounds: 07
Assists: 03
Steals: 02
Blocks: 01
Bre was overwhelmed by the physicality of Serbia in the last game but there is no way I see her with a down production again. I see her stepping up and be in 14-19 points, 7-11 rebounds, and 1-3 steals/blocks range.
Bridget Carleton(CAN-W)
Points: 15
Rebounds: 07

A’ja Wilson(CAN-W)
Points: 15
Rebounds: 08
Assists: 00
Blocks: 02
Steals: 01
A’ja continues to be unstoppable in the post play while supplying strong rebounding and defense, she will just need to make decent cuts or even work in high or low post, using her incredible first-step and quick turns. She can be selected as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 Prediction scenario.
Kayla Alexander(CAN-W)
Points: 04
Rebounds: 12
Assists: 02
Blocks: 02
Steals: 01
Kayla is an elite rebounder, sharp defender, but can be a bit off from field at times. I believe she will be in 6-12 points, 9-13 rebounds, and 1-3 blocks range.
Alyssa Thomas(USA-W)
Points: 13
Rebounds: 14
Assists: 07
Steals: 03
A Point Forward, Alyssa has been instrumental this year, first for the Sun and now to the USA, with her ability to read the floor on both ends, hustle hard on defense, and collect a ton of rebounds. I expect her to be in 14-19 points, 9-14 rebounds, 6-9 assists, and 2-4 steals range.
Shay Colley(CAN-W)
Points: 11
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 06
Steals: 03
Guard Shay has been doing her bit as a scorer and a solid all-around player. I believe she will be in 10-14 points, 3-6 rebounds/assists range.
Chelsea Gray(USA-W)
Points: 08
Rebounds: 00
Assists: 03
Steals: 02
With so many offensive options around, Gray’s job has become easier and she doesn’t need to put up 20+ points for her team to win, as she did in the WNBA Playoffs and won the Finals MVP. I expect her to be in 11-16 points and 3-5 assists range.
Natalie Achonwa(CAN-W)
Points: 12
Rebounds: 09
Assists: 04
Blocks: 01
Natalie has been a physical presence and been a strong defender and rebounder. I believe she will be in 6-10 points, 5-8 rebounds, and 1-2 steals/blocks range.
Kelsey Plum(USA-W)
Points: 17
Rebounds: 02
Assists: 04
Plum has been a bench player before but the All-Star player has a solid inside game that complements her brilliant shooting stroke. I expect her to be in 13-19 points and 3-5 assists range.
Kia Nurse(CAN-W)
Points: 17
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 02
Kia got her flow back in the last game and when she is shooting like that, Canada can even give the USA team a bit of hell. I believe she will be in 12-16 points range here
Jewell Loyd(USA-W)
Points: 08
Rebounds: 02
Assists: 02
Loyd has been struggling to shoot quite a bit. I believe she will be in 10-14 points and 2-4 assists range.
Nirra Fields(CAN-W)

Ariel has been doing her job well in limited minutes. I believe she will be in 5-9 points range.
