Change in dates
The sixth edition of Pro Kabaddi League which was scheduled to commence from October 5 has been rescheduled. The proposed date was 5th October but the revised schedule states that the lucrative league will now begin on October 7 which was confirmed on Monday.
The organisers Mashal Sports had earlier confirmed the league to take-off from October 5 but in their media release statement, they confirmed the change of dates. They quoted,
“The 6th Season of the PKL will start on October 7 instead of the earlier date of October 5 owing to logistical reasons such as caravan movement and stadium availability.“
Some logistical reasons like the caravan movement and stadium availability are the main concerns due to which the competition has been shifted 2 days ahead.
Therefore, the opening game between Tamil Thalaivas and Patna Pirates will now take place on October 7 in Chennai which is the host for the first leg games. This match will be followed by the Maharashtrian derby which will see UMumba (Mumbai side) squaring off against Puneri Paltan (Pune side).

The campaign ‘BACCHPAN KA KHEL HAI, BACCHO KA NAHI’ builds focus on the homegrown sport which everyone in their childhood used to play and also suggests that the game was a part of our childhood memory, but to play in Pro Kabaddi League you have to be pro-active.
