Sunrisers skipper Kane Williamson confirmed on Monday that Bhuvneshwar is yet to recover from a back injury he picked up during his side’s previous match against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday.
Bhuvneshwar has been one of the leading wicket-takers for the side as the 28-year old has picked six wickets at an average of 17.16 at an economy rate of 6.86.
The team of Mumbai Indians has lost their four out of five games whereas Sunrisers have lost two out of three games and they are seated at the fourth spot of the points table.
The team also dealt with a blow with their star batsman Shikhar Dhawan being rested last week after being knocked on the elbow off the first ball he faced against Kings XI Punjab last week.
“Shikhar is currently doing a fitness test on the ground, we are hoping that he will be fine for tomorrow,” Williamson said.
