Hyderabad – In a game dominated by bowlers, it was Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowlers who took the sting out of power-packed RCB batting to come out on top.
Winning the toss and deciding to bowl, RCB skipper Virat Kohli asked the Sunrisers to bat first. SRH did not get off to the best of starts with openers perishing without contributing much. The captain, Williamson, once again came to SRH’s rescue – scoring a fluent 56 off 39 balls. Southee and Siraj picked three wickets each to keep SRH to a sub-par total.
In reply, Royal Challengers Bangalore were troubled by SunRisers’ bowlers from the outset. Apart from Virat Kohli’s 39 and Grandhomee’s 33 lower down, none other batsmen could handle the pressure. In the end, it was an all-round performance from SRH’s bowlers that helped them defend yet another total.
