The tournament of Indian Premier League has shaped up many emerging talents and probably Hyderabad pacer, Siddharth Kaul has also found his road to glory.
An impressive performance in IPL 2018 with 13 wickets so far, with an economy of 7 for his team Sunrisers Hyderabad has earned him the India cap in India’s limited-overs squad for the tours of Ireland and England,
“It’s a surreal feeling, I am just answering a lot of calls right now,” Kaul said in an interview to the Times of India.
“I would be playing for India in England for the first time. I have heard that the pitches there suit bowlers. I would love to win games for my country if I get a chance,” he added.
Kaul earned an India ODI team call-up just a few months back after trying hard for almost 10 years in the domestic circuit, but the bowler did not get a chance to make his ODI debut in the series.
The 27-year old also said that he owes a lot to Bhuvi for his improvement in knuckleballs and yorkers.
“It’s my third season with Hyderabad and I owe a lot to Bhuvi. I think he is the smartest bowler in the world, he inspires me a lot,” he said.
“He helps me whenever I need him, even in the nets,” he added.
