Sunrisers bowling was at its best again, restricting explosive Kolkata Knight Riders to a mere 138/8. Earlier, Sunrisers won the toss and invited the Knight Riders to set them a target. KKR innings did not get off to the best of starts, losing Uthappa early.

Chris Lynn made a scratchy 49 at the top but wickets continued to fall around him. The skipper Dinesh Karthik did try to lift the KKR innings, but could not take his team to a par score. The entire Knight Riders batting were out of sorts, after a re-shuffle in the order.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the bowlers, taking three, while Shakib Al Hasan was also excellent with the ball. Another highlight of the innings was SRH’s electric fielding. SRH would like their in-form star Shikhar Dhawan to carry his rich form to lead the chase.
