Chennai Super Kings’ MS Dhoni played a magnificent knock at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday as CSK won against RCB by 5 wickets in the final over of the match.
Dhoni who scored an unbeaten 70, along with Ambati Rayudu’s 82 helped the Chennai Super Kings register a thrilling win.
Dhoni sealed the match with a six as his team climbed to the top spot after the win. Notably, a new record of sixes was also created in the match with both the teams scoring 33 sixes.
MS Dhoni’s knock garnered a lot of appreciation and his opposition captain Virat Kohli also complimented his India teammate.
“I am very happy to see him. I am loving to see him strike a few, not against us though. We wouldn’t have liked that. He is hitting the ball really well this IPL. He is batting higher up the order and expressing himself well,” Kohli told the reporters in the post-match press conference.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore though would have to work on their bowling as they have failed to defend a target of more than 200 for the second time this season. Talking about that Kohli asserted, “We need to look at many. We bowled below par. We need to address the issues before going forward because our bowling was flawed.”
“If we cannot defend even 200, there’s a problem somewhere. But it was a great game for Chennai.”
