Delhi – Delhi Daredevils’ spinners ran through Mumbai Indians’ batting to deny the visitors the playoffs spot.

Opting into bat, DD were off to a flyer with the openers Maxwell and Shaw putting a 31-run partnership in quick time. However, they could not make the most of starts and again it was down to Pant.

The southpaw did not disappoint, registering another 50+ score and claiming the orange cap once more. Shankar chipped in as well with the bat to take DD to a par score.

In reply, Mumbai’s leading run-getter Suryakumar fell in the very first over. Lamichanne and Mishra bamboozled MI batsmen one after the other and the visitors kept losing track of the chase. Lewis and Cutting did offer a fight, but it was not enough in the end as Mumbai Indians fell short of the target by 11 runs.
