The visiting team, MI won the toss and invited the home team to bat first. The start was not easy, with Watson getting out in the fifth over. The second-wicket pair Rayudu and Raina built the CSK innings – with a splendid partnership of 71 runs.
Suresh Raina top-scored for CSK, scoring 75 runs off 47 balls while Rayudu continued his rich vein of form to chip in with 46 runs. McClenaghan and Krunal picked two wickets apiece for the visitors.
