Disappointed Bumrah revealed in an interview that he got an impression that he had dismissed Virat Kohli in the 14th over.
Talking in an interview he said, “I got to hear from dug-out that he (Virat Kohli) was out and I heard that it was an edge. I didn’t hear the edge, even the wicketkeeper didn’t hear it. But that’s ok. In the next over Hardik (Pandya) got his wicket so I am really happy.”
In the 14th over, Jasprit Bumrah bowled a back-of-the-length delivery to Kohli which edged to wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan.
Bumrah was quite convinced about the dismissal, but Umpire Nitin Menon didn’t give him an out.
The replay also suggested that Kohli had edged the ball. However, Kohli could not score much and gave his wicket in the 18th over after scoring 24 runs.
Mumbai Indians were outplayed by the Royal Challengers Bangalore as the visitors ended up losing by 14 runs.
