KKR stare into the abyss:
The injury might be a setback for the team of Kolkata Knight Riders as his injury makes him doubtful for the next edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).
After the injury of Chris Lynn, the retained star Russell has deepened the troubles for KKR who are relying on the likes of Lynn, Sunil Narine, Robin Uthappa and Rusell for the upcoming season of IPL.
KKR brought Andre Russell for 6 lakhs in 2014 where he played only a few matches for the franchise.

In 2015 he scored 326 runs and took 14 scalps in 13 matches. In 2016 as well he continued his form claiming 15 wickets in 12 matches at an economy of 7.97. However, he was ruled out of the 2017 edition of IPL owing to doping violations.
The Indian Premier League is slated to kick start from 7 April where Russell might miss a few initial games.
