Michail Antonio will not be a part of the West Ham squad which hosts Crystal Palace due to a “frustrating” hamstring injury.
The 27-year-old has been out of contention since his side won 2-0 to Newport County in the League Cup in late August.
This is the third time that Antonio has sustained a hamstring injury. However, he states that the injuries have varied over the course of time.
Michail Antoni’s statement
“It’s been very frustrating for the fact that this is my third one,”
“Every time that I’ve done it, I’ve done it in a different place so it’s not a recurring injury, it’s a different one,” Michail Antonio had said.
“The first time I did it, I did it at the bottom on my left, then I’ve done it at the top of my left, I’ve done the top of my right now.
“Hopefully, I can stay fit, it’s not the muscle I’m injuring, it’s the tendons,”
“I’ve just got to try and strengthen that somehow.
“I’m taking more collagen shots and more turmeric and anything else that can make them stronger,” Antonio concluded.

From the Dugout
With Antonio not being a part of the squad, Manuel Pellegrini has relied on Andriy Yarmolenko to play at the right-wing.
Yarnolenko has grabbed the opportunity with both hands and has made an impact by scoring three goals in six appearances for the Hammers.
