PSG stars – Neymar and Kylian Mbappe – have made a timely return ahead of the Champions League tie against Liverpool. The star duo were fitness worries for the fixture after sustaining knocks on international duty last week but have shaken off injuries in time for the decisive Champions League contest.
Jurgen Klopp relishing the challenge
Neymar and Mbappe have 26 goals between them this season and were also on the scoresheet at Anfield in September.
When asked how Liverpool is preparing to stop Neymar and Mbappe, Klopp said, “I am actually pleased for them that they are not seriously injured. We always expected them to play. It’s much more difficult to prepare for a game when my players don’t know the opponents, which happens from time to time.”
“This generation of players have watched probably 500,000 YouTube videos of Mbappe and Neymar and (Edinson) Cavani and all that stuff. They know more about these players in that respect than I do, but they can only shine when they get the ball, so that means we have to defend, close the spaces,” added Liverpool manager.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Liverpool Possible Lineups
Paris Saint-Germain – Buffon (GK), Meunier, Bernat, Kimpembe, Silva, Marquinhos, Verratti, Di Maria, Mbappe, Cavani, Neymar
Liverpool – Alisson (GK), Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Lovren, Robertson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Salah, Firmino, Mane
A must-win situation
Liverpool beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 at Anfield in an exhilarating encounter in September. It was the only defeat Thomas Tuchel’s men have suffered across all competitions. If Liverpool can pull off the double, they will progress to the Champions League knockout stages.
PSG, on the other hand, would want to win it to consolidate their position at the head of Group C points table. With Neymar, Mbappe, Di Maria and Edinson Cavani all available, they have all the firepower to send Liverpool out.
