Manchester United, the only side to snatch points against Liverpool this season will be ready to give it their everything to “knock Liverpool off their perch” when they visit Anfield on Sunday.
Liverpool is now the record holders for having the most points with 21 games played in a season across the top 5 leagues in Europe, while Manchester United are struggling to catch up the top-4 race after a poor start to their campaign.
Injuries are haunting them, odds are against them, but United will visit Anfield with the confidence of beating the Reds. Premier League fans all across the globe will have their eyes glued to the game as a win for Liverpool would all but mean the end of the title race now.
The battle between the two sides has never been limited to the football field and this time is no different either. Fans and former club legends have already started battling it out on social media.
While United fans hinge their hopes on their in-form striker Marcus Rashford’s fitness, Liverpool fans are hoping to earn the coveted Invincibles title. The rivalry between the two clubs is a clear indication of how badly United fans want Liverpool’s record-breaking win-streak to end.
Media Coverage
If there is a forever, it has to be prefixed with United-Liverpool rivalry. Leading media houses have legends from both clubs in their panel of football Pundits and none of them bothers to keep the love for their club aside. Jamie Carragher, for instance, while praising Jurgen Klopp took a subtle dig at United in his column.
Klopp doesn’t buy superstars he makes them! Caused a stir this week after my comments at Spurs. So did a column on it & how it’s similar to Fergie’s 1st title. Also since he left has any United signing improved? #football #liverpool #manutd

Fans Talks
United fans are aware of the threat Jurgen Klopp and his men pose to their injury-plagued side and are only hoping to get a positive result somehow. Liverpool fans on the other hand are flying with confidence and showing no signs of respect to their rival fans.
In 2020 if rival fans think one of their players is good, they have to compare him to a Liverpool player.
