Mourinho believes Manchester United will start 2018/19 season with disadvantage

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is adamant that his club will be at a disadvantage when the Premier League 2018/19 season begins as his main players will be on a post-World Cup break.
The pre-season training camp begins roughly six weeks before the season begins, and generally, every single player takes part in it.
But, when international tournaments take place in the summer, the precedence changes.
Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Ashley Young and Marouane Fellaini are some of the big-name players who will not be able to train with the team in the pre-season.
“The first match of the season is against Leicester and the second one is against Brighton and when I look to Leicester, if I’m not wrong, only (Harry) Maguire and (Jamie) Vardy were in the World Cup in the final phase because (goalkeeper Kasper) Schmeichel was back sooner,” Mourinho told reporters at UCLA.

He added, “So I think a team that is working for six weeks minimum with all the players except one central defender and one striker that can join in the last week and probably be available… that is clear it’s a much better situation for them. When I look to Brighton on the second game, I don’t think they have any player that is not doing a very good pre-season with lots of matches and training.”
He also claimed that not only his team will suffer from this problem, but so will Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
Mourinho who has infamously always had troubles in the third season of any club he has worked in has already set the ball rolling of listing out problems.
For the sake of Manchester United and everyone associated with, fans hope that these claims remain exaggerations and not harsh reality.
