FC Barcelona star players sidelined for Champions League night at San Siro

FC Barcelona continued their winning momentum in La Liga by beating Real Mallorca 5-2 thanks to some brilliant goals scored by Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

However, Ernesto Valverde has decided to give the attacking duo a much-needed break ahead of the big game against Inter Milan at San Siro. The Catalans currently have 11 points in Group F and have advanced to the further stages of the UEFA Champions League.

With that being said, French international Antoine Griezmann should lead the charge by playing through the middle instead of out wide. Carlos Perez and Ansu Fati could also be given the nod to feature up top along with Griezman.

Though FC Barcelona might be unaffected by tonight’s result, Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan side will be going hammer and tonks at home in order to register the all-important win in order to make it to the next round in the European competition.

Inter Milan with seven points is currently on level terms with Borussia Dortmund in Group F. With Inter Milan facing Barcelona, and Dortmund facing Slavia Prague, all eyes will be on the final outcomes as to who joins Barcelona to the next round.
