The two biggest clubs in the world in Real Madrid and Barcelona have always been a hotbed for the best players in the game. They have been the ideal spot for anyone to come into, and win titles easily.
Currently, the duo are in search for some exceptionally talented players who are going to further bolster their squads in the coming few years. The management needs to be tactful and not make decisions based out of hype.
Real Madrid are more in the need to look for some players that are going to fill up the voids created this season as they had a troublesome campaign. Whereas, Barcelona will be looking for a central defender to solidify themselves at the back.
So, here we have got a list for you, a list of possible targets that Real Madrid and Barcelona will be eyeing for this summer’s transfer window.
1. Matthijs de Ligt

The captain of Ajax has been absolutely sensational throughout the season, and his maturity along with leadership at the age of 19 is definitely one to look out for. His presence on the ball as well as game reading skills makes him an invaluable asset for anyone and is a target for most major clubs in Europe.
He would be the ideal person to come into Barcelona, as Pique is 32 years old now and will be slowing down due to age, whereas the pair of Lenglet and Umtiti just don’t possess the clear cut leadership skills that de Ligt does. It also helps to say that he would love to play with Barcelona’s new recruit in Frenkie de Jong, in future as well.

If that is the case, then Real Madrid is the ideal stop for him, and talks regarding this subject are only catching more fire as days roll by. He would be a perfect fit into Zidane’s 4-3-3 system, as he possesses the goal-scoring ability and an incredible turn of pace. The man is also looking for a new challenge and to revive Real Madrid to its former glory will be the perfect job for someone of his calibre.

3. Paul Pogba
Manchester United talisman has had a difficult second half of the season and he is aware of the criticism he is facing. The team was shambolic after winning against PSG in the UEFA Champions League, and even though they have seen a managerial change as well, Pogba has seemed to struggle indefinitely in the red t-shirt.

After his heroics in the FIFA World Cup 2018, many wondered if he will stay at United after this year, and many suitable options have flared up since then. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona want the services of Pogba, and he would be an ideal fit for both of them. In Madrid, he will be the playmaker making sure that his passing ability opens up defences, whereas in Barcelona there is a requirement for a midfielder of his physique and goal-scoring ability to help Suarez and Messi carry the burden. It will be an interesting choice for him to make if such a situation arrives.

4. Luka Jovic

A forward of his stature will be good for the team, who can play second fiddle to Karim Benzema, as his versatility will only benefit the team. With his best years, ahead of him, this buy will be a good choice for the side who wants some sustainability back at the club.

5. Kylian Mbappe
This is a wildcard option but Kylian Mbappe if need be can anytime strengthen a side by featuring in the starting XI. The young Frenchman is unbelievably talented for his age, and has been scoring more goals than matches played this season. With already a FIFA World Cup in his trophy cabinet, he will be looking to win the UEFA Champions League as well. In the last campaign, he saw that it was only him who was actually fighting to stay in the competition and it sparked him to make some claims about seeing his future elsewhere.
That place could be Barcelona, where he can be with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, forming a formidable partnership. Furthermore, he can also take over the reins from Messi and be regarded as the best player in the world, and that is an alluring option for anyone to have.
