TOT vs EVE Dream11 Prediction: Tottenham begin the Premier League season by hosting Everton at home. Two of the world’s top managers in Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti meet again but in very unfamiliar surroundings, which will hardly matter to them. After a somewhat disastrous start to the Premier League season 19/20, Spurs sacked Mauricio Pochettino and appointed Jose Mourinho who helped them to a 6th placed in the league. Everton FC also took the same route and sacked Marco Silva with the Italian veteran. Both managers have a very credible repertoire and have worked with some of the best players in the world.
However, despite their best efforts, Everton only managed a 12th placed finish while Tottenham missed out on the champions league. A stellar transfer window saw Everton sign the likes of Allan, James Rodriguez and Doucoure. While Tottenham have only managed to sign Matt Doherty from Wolves and Emile-Pierre Hojbjerg from Southampton. It will be interesting to see how the two managers set-up tactically with their new signings as now this is down to more than just a Premier League fixture for either club. Both managers will want to one-up their counter-part for bragging rights as well as the three points as stake.

Who Will Win Today’s Match?
Bookies have Tottenham to win at 17/20 as they are the clear favourites but when you have a manager like Ancelotti at the helm, an upset can not be ruled out. Especially with the signings that Everton have made, they will be raring to go and a win away to a Jose Mourinho team will be a flying start to the season. After numerous underwhelming seasons, the Evertonians have been starved of European success and Ancelotti will do his best to get a top 6 finish. He will have a midfield dilemma and a 4-4-2 (diamond) is the only way to incorporate all. However, a tactically adept manager like Mourinho will be prepared for everything that Everton throw at them. Tottenham have a more or less straightforward line-up choice except for the decision of choosing between Lucas Moura or Steven Bergwijn. While Everton want to get into either of the two European competitions, Spurs will specifically want to finish in the top 4 and play Champions League football next season. With stiff competition from Liverpool, Man City, Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal, Jose will want to grab as many points as possible as the race for the top spots will get very close. Tottenham should win the game but not by very much.
TOT vs EVE Dream11 Teams
Captain Options
Harry Kane – Harry Kane is one of the best players in the league and hasn’t scored less than 20 goals since the 2013/14 season. And he will most likely cross the 20 goal mark this season as well. Spurs don’t have a top striker on the bench who can replace him and all their hopes rest on him. He is the key man for Tottenham and is well on course to break all kinds of goal-scoring records.
Richarlison – The Brazilian has had an amazing time in England and his versatility will allow Ancelotti to play him anywhere over the front three. A former Watford man, Richarlison has scored 29 goals in his two years at Everton and is a very prolific player for the Merseysiders. He loves to get in between the lines and cause a lot of indecisiveness amongst defenders. He will look to challenge the Tottenham Hotspur defence and cause damage.
Heung-Min Son – Son, the workhorse of the Tottenham frontline, often operates in the shadows of Harry Kane but puts up some incredible numbers. He is the one who deputizes when Kane gets injured and performs his job to the tee. He has scored 85 goals for the Lilywhites while providing 47 assists.
X-Factors (Differential Picks)
James Rodriguez – New signing, James Rodriguez, has been out of favour at every club he has been to after that World Cup performance in 2014. But now he looks to revive his career under Carlo Ancelotti. He does not have brilliant numbers but has the potential to be a lethal attacking midfielder and Spurs will be wary of that.
Dele Alli – The England international will be playing right behind Harry Kane and will be on the lookout for line breaking passes into the final third. At 24, Alli is just entering his prime but has already scored 86 goals and provided 70 assists during the resurgence of Tottenham Hotspurs. As their trophy hunt continues, Alli will be a major part of powering the squad forward.
Lucas Digne – Despite playing in a predominantly defensive position, Lucas Digne’s attacking output is excellent. He has had 5 goals and 13 assists in his couple of seasons at Everton. Apart from that, he puts in 8 crosses per 90 and creates about 3 chances per game from the flanks. He will try to get in behind Matt Doherty and whip in some dangerous crosses into the box. He also likes to have a go at goal from range which could be problematic for Lloris.
