After producing an attacking brand of football en route to topping the group ahead of Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund crumbled in the first leg as Tottenham Hotspur thumped them 3-0 at Wembley a fortnight ago. The German side will need a miracle now to have any chance of progressing from this round.

The Black-Yellow have suffered a dip in the form which indicates that the task could be insurmountable. But that run-in coincided with the absence of captain Marco Reus and defenders Marcel Schmelzer and Lukasz Piszczek.

Tottenham Hotspur will feel more confident going into the 2nd leg after the return of Harry Kane to the fold. The 2018 World Cup Golden Boot winner missed the first due to an injury but will be lining up here as Spurs aim to equal their best-ever finish in Europe’s premier club competition.

Over in the Premier Legaue, Tottenham’s title chances are starting to fade after Kane and Co. collected just one point in the last three games. They are nine points behind new leaders Manchester City on the table.
