Tottenham Hotspur followed that draw with a win at Brighton Hove Albion, a draw at Watford and another win at Hudderfield so they would be riding high on confidence as they host the Spanish champions for their second game in the European Royalty.

FC Barcelona, is gradually getting vulnerable at the back as they failed to Leganes by 2-1 and followed it up with 1-1 draw at home against Athletic Bilbao. Lionel Messi and company are losing their undefeated status from the last season and looks like a team to get stuck in the defense in away games. FC Barcelona’s away trip had not been of great joy as of late as they managed to win only one of their last seven away trips in the Champions League.

Tottenham Hotspur: The hosts are still having doubts with their goalkeeper Michel Vorm as he recovers from his fitness issues. Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele are all doubt for this game because of their fitness concerns. Serge Aurier is unlikely to feature in this game as well for Spurs. Juan Foyth, georges-kevin Nkoudou and Vincent Janssen are all unavailable for selection in this game.

FC Barcelona: Sergio Roberto is suspended and would not play in this game however Nelson Semedo is expected to feature in his place. Tottenham Hotspur- The hosts will be without Christian Eriksen (abdominal injury) and Dele Alli (hamstring problem) for Wednesday’s crunch Champions League Group B match against Barcelona at Wembley. Meanwhile, Jan Vertonghen (hamstring) and Mousa Dembele (thigh), and right-back Serge Aurier (thigh) have also been ruled out. However, world cup winning Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is once again available for selection after recovering from a thigh injury.
Both Harry Winks and Victor Wanyama, who featured from the bench against Huddersfield, are expected to start against Barcelona.
