Ukraine Team News:

Sergey Yarmolenko is in the squad and could start the match. Image Credit @Twitter
  • The biggest news for Ukraine and all the West Ham fans is the return of Andriy Yarmolenko. The 29-year-old hasn’t played a single match in 2019 after suffering Achilles injury in October 2018.
  • Schalke winger Yevhen Konoplyanka, who can also play in the midfield, is back from the hip injury.
  • Andriy Shevchenko named a huge preliminary squad, which he has trimmed down to 23.
  • The likes of Artem Shabanov, Vitaly Nikolenko, Igor Plastun, Sergey Sidorchuk, Nikolay Shaparenko, Vladimir Shepelev, Yaroslav Rakitskiy, Andriy Boryachuk and Serhiy Bolbat miss out.

Ukraine Squad for the next two Euro Games:

  • Goalkeepers: Andriy Lunin, Yuriy Pankiv, Andriy Pyatov
  • Defenders: Mykyta Burda, Vitaliy Mykolenko, Bogdan Butko, Eduard Sobol, Oleksandr Karavayev, Ihor Plastun, Sergiy Kryvtsov, Mykola Matviyenko
  • Midfielders: Volodymyr Shepelyev, Taras Stepanenko, Mykola Shaparenko, Viktor Kovalenko, Ivan Petriak, Ruslan Malinovsky, Roman Bezus, Viktor Tsyhankov, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Yevhen Konoplyanka, Marlos
  • Forwards: Artem Kravets, Roman Yaremchuk, Andriy Yarmolenko

Probable XI: Pyatov (GK), Mykolenko, Matviyenko, Burda, Butko, Zinchenko, Konoplyanka, Malinovskiy, Bezus, Tsygankov, Roman Yaremchuk

Serbia Team News:

No Nemanja Matic for Serbia. Image Credit @Twitter
  • Manchester United defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic misses out due to the injury as is the case with Red Star Belgrade midfielder Branko Jovičić who plays in the same position.
  • Expect Nemanja Maksimović to start in the No-6 role against Ukraine.

  • Red Star Belgrade right-back Milan Gajić has failed to make the cut for Serbia’s squad for Euro 2020 Qualifiers. Antonio Rukavina is expected to be named on the right side of the defense.
  • Aleksandar Kolarov returns to Serbia squad after missing the last two games with an injury. If the 33-year-old AS Roma left-back starts, which most probably will be the case, then expect Filip Mladenović to drop down to the bench.

  • The goalkeeping and the Centre-back positions shouldn’t be the problems as Marko Dmitrović, Nikola Milenković and Uroš Spajić are all in the squad and will start in their respective positions.
  • Red Star Belgrade striker Milan Pavkov, who scored two sensational goals against Liverpool in the group stage of the 2018-19 Champions League, will be serving the 2nd of his three-game ban here. He was sent off against Germany.
  • There will be some changes in the attacking department. You can’t keep Luka Jovic out of the squad now, no matter how incredible the form of Aleksandar Mitrović is for his country. But sometimes the winning combination reins in the mind of the managers and that’s why we think Mitrovic starts here, with Dusan Tadic providing support in the attack.
Jovic has earned the right to be Serbia’s leading forward after his breakthrough season with Frankfurt. Real Madrid acquired his services after shelling out £52.4m (€60m) for his transfer. Image Credit @Twitter
  • Sergej Milinković-Savić, Nenad Krstičić, Luka Milivojević, and Marko Grujić have been left out as well.

Serbia Squad for the next two Euro Games:

  • Goalkeepers: Nikola Vasiljević, Marko Dmitrović, Predrag Rajković
  • Defenders: Nikola Milenković, Uroš Spajić, Aleksandar Kolarov, Antonio Rukavina, Stefan Mitrović, Miloš Veljković, Filip Mladenović
  • Midfielders: Mijat Gaćinović, Saša Lukić, Adem Ljajić, Nemanja Maksimović, Andrija Živković, Filip Kostić, Aleksandar Katai, Fejsa Ljubomir, Dušan Tadić, Darko Lazović, Nemanja Radonjić
  • Forwards: Aleksandar Prijović, Luka Jović, Aleksandar Mitrović

Probable XI: Dmitrovic (GK), Mladenovic / Kolarov, Milenkovic, Spajic, Rukavina, Gacinovic, Ljajic, Maksimovic, Lazovic, Tadic, Mitrovic

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

It’s going to be some match. Serbia’s attacking prowess and Ukraine’s midfield and the defense line, all make for an intriguing affair at Arena Lviv.

If selecting your Dream11 Fantasy football team is not easy, then naming a start player is even harder when there is so much talent in both the squad.

That said, we can narrow down our options by considering that Serbia will bomb Ukraine with their front foot approach here.

Dusan Tadic is a good option here. Not only he is a threat in the attacking 3rd and can pop up with something special, but he also tracks down the opponents and offers well in defense.

Consider Mitrovic as well. The Fulham striker has been phenomenal in the UEFA Nations League, thumping four goals.

In his last seven appearances for Serbia, the former Newcastle United striker has scored six goals.
