SCH vs BAY Dream11: Schalke welcome Bayern Munich to the Ruhr Valley for a Bundesliga matchup in what will be a last-place vs first-place game. Schalke are inexplicably last in the Bundesliga with just 1 win all season and a massive 12 losses. They have lost 3 of their last 4 games and are in extremely poor form and this match could not come at a worse time. The Schalke faithful do not have fond memories from the reverse fixture as Bayern thrashed them 8-0 on the opening day of the season. Bayern is first as usual with 12 wins out of 17 but only look like a shadow of their former selves. They have struggled to see out games and often scraped wins as opposed to smashing teams last season. They also lost their second Bundesliga game of the season to Borussia Monchengladbach a couple of weeks ago but have since won 3 games in a row.

SCH vs BAY Prediction, Team News, Starting XI
A) Schalke 04 Team News
Injury Report, Unavailability: Things just get worse for Schalke as they have a long injury-list too with Alessandro Schopf, Goncalo Paciencia, Killian Ludewig, Nabil Bentaleb, Nassim Boujellab, Salif Sane and Steven Skrzybski are all out injured.
Expected changes: Owing to injuries, Schalke can be expected to play the same side that lost to Koln in midweek. Ralf Fahrmann should continue in goal with Timo Becker, Ozan Kabak, Matija Nastasic and Sead Kolasinac in defence. Omar Mascarell will be eyeing a start in the double pivot but Benjamin Stambouli and Suat Serdar should keep their place. Benito Raman and Amine Harit should start on either flank, with Mark Uth playing down the middle. Matthew Hoppe will start as the lone striker.

B) Bayern Munich Team News
Injury Report, Unavailability: New signing Tanguy Nianzou is a long-term injury with Joshua Zirkzee missing out on the SCH vs BAY Dream11 Prediction as well.
Doubtful: Bayern Munich has a fully-fit squad with all their first-choice players available.
Expected changes: Bayern, too, are expected to field the same team that started against Augsburg. Manuel Neuer will get the nod in goal as usual. Alphonso Davies will be eyeing a start but Lucas Hernandez should keep his place in defence along with David Alaba, Jerome Boateng and Benjamin Pavard. Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka will form the double-pivot right behind the formidable Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman and Thomas Muller. Goal machine, Robert Lewandowski will keep his place up-top.
Bayern Munich Starting XI (probable):
Manuel Neuer (GK)
Benjamin Pavard
Jerome Boateng
David Alaba
Lucas Hernandez
Joshua Kimmich
Leon Goretzka
Serge Gnabry
Thomas Muller
Kingsley Coman
Robert Lewandowski
SCH vs BAY Today Match Prediction:
Bet365: Schalke 04 –15; Bayern Munich – 1/7
Paddy Power: Schalke 04 – 16; Bayern Munich – 1/7
This should be a rather convincing win for Die Bavarians given the form of both sides. Bayern would be expected to win even if Schalke were in form so if they were to lose in these circumstances, it might just be the upset of the season so far. The SCH vs BAY Today Match Prediction will be one where the away side will look to gain some ground over their fellow title-challengers but they will know that Schalke will go for broke as they have nothing to lose from this game.
Most Likely Result: Bayern Munich win

SCH vs BAY Dream11, Captain & Differential Picks
Captain Options –
Robert Lewandowski – The Polish international is in unbelievable form with 22 goals and 5 assists in just 15 starts in the Bundesliga. Playing against one of the weakest defences in the league, Lewandowski will be the biggest threat to the Schalke squad. He also has an impressive 31 shots on target so far.
Thomas Muller – Playing right behind Lewandowski is Thomas Muller who has had a Renaissance of sorts under Hansi Flick. The German has 16 goal contributions (7 goals, 9 assists) in just 17 starts so far. He has also created a massive 58 goal-scoring chances with 12 successful dribbles and 16 accurate crosses in the league.
Kingsley Coman – Coman has done very well to keep new signing, Leroy Sane, on the bench with his impressive form. He has 7 assists in addition to 2 goals in 11 starts so far. With 27 successful dribbles and 14 accurate crosses, he will look to link up with Lewandowski to trouble the Schalke defence.
Differential Picks –
Amine Harit – The Moroccan international has been a good creative source for Schalke with 25 chances created. He has also completed 36 successful dribbles in the league. If he can keep the same form up, Harit can cause a few problems to the reigning champions.
Joshua Kimmich – Playing in the heart of midfield, Joshua Kimmich has created 29 goal-scoring chances with a pass accuracy of 90%. He also completes 89% of his dribbles and has whipped in 19 accurate crosses as well.
Matthew Hoppe – With 5 goals in 5 starts, Matthew Hoppe will be Schalke’s best chance to get a goal against Bayern. He has also scored in each of his last 3 games this season including a hattrick against Hoffenheim.
