East Bengal vs Gokulam FC Team News:
East Bengal Team News: Kolkata giants have signed 20-year-old forward Edmund Lalrindika on a season-long loan from Indian Super League outfit Bengaluru FC. He has been impressive in the BDFA Super Division League for Bengaluru.
“I am very happy that I have signed the extension. My dream is to always play for Bengaluru FC, but as of now we’re young and the squad is very good, so I understand that. At the same time, playing for East Bengal is a big opportunity considering their history,” Edmund said.
He is expected to be on the bench for this game.
East Bengal head-coach Alejandro Menendez Garcia made some changes for the game against Churchill, with Abhijit Sarkar, Jaime Santos, Lalrindika Ralte and Mehtab Singh replacing Asheer Akhtar, Pintu Mahata, Ronaldo Oliveira and Samad Ali Mallick in the playing 11. Expect more changes here from the home team as two East Bengal key players, Kassim Aidara and Marti Crespi, are on three yellow cards and will miss the huge Kolkata derby against arch-rivals Mohun Bagan if any one of them get booked against Gokulam FC.
East Bengal key players:
Jaime Santos, Juan Mera
Gokulam FC team news: Gokulam had two men sent off in 2-3 defeat against Chennai City, defenders Haroon Amiri and Mohamed Irshad. The duo is suspended for the game as a result.
“Irshad and Amiri are experienced players but we will replace them with two players who are our assets for the future and they will do a good job,” Gokulam head coach Fernando Andres Santiago Varela said.
Also, the visitors are fretting over the fitness of their first-choice goalkeeper Vigneshwaran Baskaran, who suffered a head-on collision during the match against Chennai City and is a doubt for this game.

Marcus Joseph, Lalromawia, Henry Kisekka
