NEW vs TOT Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Tottenham Hotspur have the chance to move 2nd in the table when they host Newcastle United in the Premier League at the Wembley Stadium, in London, on Saturday evening (IST).
Spurs showed real character:
In the last two Premier League games, Tottenham Hotspur fell behind in the match. In those games, they didn’t have their talismanic striker Harry Kane, and also lost midfielder Dele Alli to a hamstring injury, while Son Heung-Min was playing in the Asia Cup. Lucas Moura was injured for the Fulham game as well, and Jan Vertonghen was well off the pace having made a return from an injury recently. The midfield had too little options as Moussa Sissoko was injured, while Moussa Dembele left the club for Chinese Super League.
But in the last four years or so since Mauricio Pochettino took charge of the club, one thing that embodies the Spurs is their never-give-up attitude. Their tenacity and the ability to dig in the games is second to none.
Tottenham went on to win both the games 2-1 thanks to some late, very late strikes.
At Craven Cottage, they needed a 91st minute Harry Winks header, while Son Heung-min(80′) and Fernando Llorente (87′) completed the comeback against Watford last time around.
Spurs are very much in the title race:
Spurs’ win was all tastier for Pochettino and his men as Liverpool dropped two precious points at home against Leicester City, while Manchester City ended up losing away against Newcastle United.
It means Tottenham are just seven points adrift of the top, and only two points separate them and the Cityzens as things stand in the Premier League.
The season is still long, and in the next 14 games, a lot can happen. The summit may yet see a new leader, and Spurts are pretty much a kind of material who could be that team.
Newcastle produced the shock of the round:
Bournemouth can rival that tag after their stupendous 4-0 home win over Chelsea. But wait! Maurizio Sarri’s team is too unpredictable. You don’t know what to get from them. They could beat the reigning champions at home and can even lose at home against the least fancied teams as well.
But City are just predictable. You know you get an utter dominance and a no-nonsense approach from Pep Guardiola’s men. That’s why it even feels more surreal considering Sergio Aguero scored this seaosn’s fastest goal in that match and still his team lost the game 2-1 at St. James’ Park.

NEW vs TOT Dream11 FANTASY TEAM:
Tottenham Hotspur FANTASY PREDICTION:
Newcastle United’s win in the last match and Tottenham Hotspur’s injury woes make this game an interesting matchup. Solomon Rondon is in good form and he has proved that the Magpies can rely on him for the goals.
Having said that, Spurs are at home and beating them in front of their own fans, no matter how depleted their squad id, going to take some efforts from the visitors.
A home win is our call.
