Steve Bruce will definitely be rining changes to the playing 11 which was poor for the large parts of the game at Villa Park. We expect Yedlin not to be rushed here, and that could see either Javier Manquillo or Emil Krafth getting the nod at right-back.

Midfielder Sean Longstaff is back from suspension and should get a start in the midfield, alongside Isaac Hayden.

Defenders Fabian Schar and Florian Lejeune are back to full fitness and will be in consideration to play against City.

Sergio Aguero has been ruled out for Manchester City through a thigh injury and won’t be playing in this game.

Leroy Sane, Aymeric Laporte and Oleksandr Zinchenko remain on the sideline for the reigning champions.

Likely changes:

Gabriel Jesus is set to lead the lines for Pep Guardiol and Manchester City in this game. Fernandinho and John Stones will once again partner at the back, with Benjamin Mendy and Kyle Walker starting on the wings.
