Since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was offered the full-time job, Manchester United seemed to have hit a road-block. It’s just absurd to even consider that aspect but United have lost more in the last couple of weeks then they did since Ole replaced Jose Mourinho in December last year.
In fact, the Red Devils have lost four times in the last five matches, including two losses to Wolves, one in the league and the other in the FA Cup. While the last match ended in a 0-1 defeat as well. But it was the defeat for which United were praised all over the world. Because they managed to stifle the Barcelona at Old Trafford.
Also, for the fact that United are being considered as a team going through a transition period at this moment. Ole hasn’t seen a transfer window yet, so the squad with which he is playing is a Mourinho team.
Coming into this match, the clash against West Ham is an important one. For the stakes are pretty high for United. They can’t afford to lose ground on the Champions League places at this stage. They are sitting at 6th on the table, three points behind Tottenham Hotspur in fourth.
While West Ham United are going through a torrid period of their own. They have lost three times in the last four games which has significantly hurt their chances of finishing at 7th in the league.
However, the Hammers can still take the 7th position on the table, for they are just five points adrift of Leicester City in seventh.
This is a very significant position considering the team finishing 7th has a very good chance of playing in the Europa Legaue next season.
For that to happen, West Ham must stop blowing hot and cold and show some consistency in the remaining games.

MUN vs WHU Dream11 TEAM NEWS: Injuries and Suspensions
Manchester United vs West Ham United Team News:
Manchester United:
Injured – Ander Herrera is ruled out of United’s next two fixtures. He joins long-term absentees Antonio Valencia and Eric Bailly on the sidelines.
Suspended – Both Luke Shaw and Ashley Young are suspended for the hosts.
Questionable – There could be some good news for United fans if certain players passed fit. Nemanja Matic missed the last few games through injury and will be assessed before the match. And the same case is with former Arsenal hero Alexis Sanchez and Italian Matteo Darmian.
Note: Ole is set to ring changes to the side which lost 0-1 to Barcelona. Fred McTominay produced the eye-catching displays against Barca and may partner once again in the midfield. But that will depend on whether Nemanja Matic is passed fit or not.
Anthony Martial came off the bench on Wednesday and is in contention to start here.
Key Players – Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford
West Ham United:
Injured – Fans would argue that West Ham should be higher than their current position on the table after spending hugely on new players. But Manuel Pellegrini’s options were always bleak because of the huge injury list. It’s not easing even now as five players could miss the match here.
Carlos Sanchez, Andriy Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshere and Andy Carroll have all been ruled out of this match.
Suspended – None.
Questionable – Winston Reid meanwhile is lacking match fitness and will be put through a late fitness test.
Note: Javier Hernandez was subbed off at the half-time in the last game and he will be desperate to start against his former club. Eyes will be on the Declan Rice as well who is a transfer target for United.
Key Players – Arnautovic, Hernandez, Anderson
