MCI vs TOT Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Without a shadow of any doubt, this is the biggest fixture of the 2019-20 Premier League season.
Manchester United and Chelsea fans may argue but City are the champions while Spurs are not going through the transition period, and are well established as the top-four team.
Expect fireworks. Expect quality football. And surely, expect goals here, for both the teams love to press and hit the other team with a brisk counter-attack.
Team News:
Manchester City:
- Leroy Sane and Benjamin Mendy are both out with long-term injuries.
- Fernandinho is available for selection and may play his first game for City since the Copa America. If the Brazilian plays, Rodrigo may be benched.
- Super striker Sergio Aguero is pushing for a start. Pep Guardiola has used the former Atletico Madrid forward sparsely after the involvement in the Summer’s Copa America.
Tottenham Hotspur:
- Spurs are still without Ryan Sessegnon, Dele Alli, and Juan Foyth.
- While another first-team regular Son Heung-Min will miss the game as he serves the 3rd and the final of his three-game ban here.
- Left-back Ben Davies is getting closer to regaining his full fitness and may be involved here.
- Giovani Lo Celso is fully fit and could make his Spurs debut this week.
- Christian Eriksen made an immediate impact after coming off the bench against Aston Villa. The Danish star is expected to start the game at the Etihad Stadium.
- Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez may again start at the back with Jan Vertonghen missing out.
MCI vs TOT Dream11 Grand League Picks for Captains & Vice-Captains:
Raheem Sterling: Improvement is what he has been showing every season. his goal scoring rate is increasing, his overall influence too big for any player on Guardiola’s roster. He started the season with a bang, scoring a hattrick in the opening fixture.
Last season:
- Games: 49
- Goals: 24
- Assists: 12
Harry Kane: The 26-year-old was equally impressive in Spurs’ season opener against Aston Villa. The 26-year-old scored twice and will be looking to add more as he seeks for a win at the home of the rivals.
Last season:
- Games: 43
- Goals: 23
- Assists: 07
Kevin De Bruyne: The Belgian is a class above most of his peers. After missing the large chunk of the last season, the 28-year-old will be eager to make amends for the lost time.
Last season:
- Games: 23
- Goals: 02
- Assists: 06
Riyad Mahrez: The Former Leicester City player was the man of the match for City last weekend. Not only he scored once and set up two more, but the Premier League player of the year winner was too hot o handle despite West Ham swarming around him to nullify his threat.
Last season:
- Games: 40
- Goals: 11
- Assists: 08
Christien Eriksen: Arguably Spurs’ most gifted player. He made an immediate impact off the bench in the last game and can hurt City with his passing.
Last season:
- Games: 50
- Goals: 12
- Assists: 16
MCI vs TOT Dream11 Grand League Scenarios:
City win:
That’s the most likely scenario if we consider the odds. But Spurs have the quality on their team and there are players who can’t be kept quiet for the full 90 minutes.
One of them is Christien Eriksen. Choose him, alongwith Mousa Sissoko.
But who to drop?
Tanguy N’Dombele may have got the goal, or was at his true best in the last 15 minutes, the newly arrived Frenchman struggled to cope with the intensity. And at Etihad, it will come from all the direction, with every blade stopping him from unlocking his capability.
And from City, dropping Rodri could be a good choice.
Spurs Win:
That’s unlikely but football is unpredictable. You can’t be 100% sure of any result.
If Spurs win, it’s likely that N’Dombele has a good game. Go with him, alongwith Eriksen and Sissoko from the midfield.
While from City, De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Mahrez are undroppable in any case.
