LIV vs WOL Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Liverpool will be aiming to extend their unbeaten streak in the Premier League when they travel to West Midlands to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium, on Friday night (IST).
Wolverhampton Wanderers:
The relegation was never under consideration at the Molineux Stadium when the season started. They bought players, some from big clubs who were tempted by the big wages and the exposure in the biggest league. But unlike Fulham who just bought for the sake of it and went on to spend more than $100 million on new transfers, Wolves did shrewd business and mixed their incredible young talent with the experience and the talent of Moutinho and Jimenez to name a few.
The team looks already safe as they are sitting at a respectable 7th place with 25 points from the first 17 games heading into this match. Or perhaps something elusive can be achieved if manager Nuno Espírito Santo can keep his players grounded and focused for the remainder of the season.
Nobody predicted them to be just 1 point off Europa League at this stage. Nobody could have envisaged at the start of the campaign that they would be taking points from the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea in the Premier League with the latter suffering a 2-1 loss in the Midlands.
And you wonder how incredible the achievement could have been had they not suffered home losses against Watford and Huddersfield?
So it’s a game for Liverpool which is more than a banana skin. The settings may not be as wild as they were in Lancashire against Burnley where the weather is always cruel under the lights, but it’s the football which could haunt Jurgen Klopp’s men.
Nuno boasts some technically gifted players like Neves, players like Moutinho who can see a pass before the defender could understand the move.
It will be a fascinating battle, for sure.
Liverpool:
A battle against history is always the toughest assignment for any athlete. No matter how feeble an opponent somebody is facing, the psychological effects of going against a record which is growling against you can make a team or an athlete go for some extra measured tactics.
Or in the case of Liverpool, it was 8 league games without a victory against their eternal rivals. It was the case of not having a player in the squad with a goal against United in the league; not since Daniel Sturridge scored in 2015 in the 1-2 home loss. And it was a small matter of facing a nemesis in Jose Mourinho who has a history of spoiling the party for Liverpool.
But the events which unfolded at Anfield was a complete anomaly of what this particular fixture has always offered.
There was no fight from United. Liverpool were relentless, were given too much time on the ball, and it looked as if the Red Devils were biding their time, hoping for some divine intervention or some errors from Liverpool to get something out of the match.
The Reds won the match 3-1 with two deflected shots from Xherdan Shaqiri’s both feet proving to be the match winner. It also sent the 18-time English Champions to the top of the table. They remain the only unbeaten team in the English top-flight football.

LIV vs WOL Dream11 FANTASY TEAM:
Team 1:
It will be a tricky affair for Liverpool as Wolves can certainly play the passing game. The likes of Costa will be giving visitors some nervy moments with their pace, while Jimenez certainly knows how to poach the ball into the net.
With Liverpool there is nothing extraordinary as far as starting 11 is concerned.
Not many changes here but we have gone with the expereince of Moutinho and the cretive spark of Neves from Wolves’ squad.
INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:
This is a tricky fixture. Wolves have been magnificent against the top-6 teams this season, losing only to Tottenham. They are also on a three-game winning streak heading into this match, making them all-too confident to face the current Premier League leaders.
While Liverpool have a pretty solid record against the Wolves. They have faced them 49 times, winning a staggering 35 games. But history may not be needed here as this Wolves side is light-years away from what it used to be at the Molineux Stadium.
Still, considering Liverpool’s defensive record this season and not to mention the form Salah, Mane and Firmino in, we fancy an away win for Liverpool.
