LEI vs MCI Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Manchester City will be travelling to the Midlands to take on Leicester City in the Football League Cup Quarterfinals match at King Power Stadium, in Leicestershire, tomorrow on Tuesday night (IST).
Leicester City:
The festive period is just starting for the Premier League teams. With the matches coming thick and fast in the league, it’s hard to keep the momentum and the intensity going in every match. The Football League Cup is an opportunity for fringe players to show their worth.
For Claude Puel, the choice is a luxury he can’t afford. With the team already hit hard by knocks and injuries, the 57-year-old former Southampton and Lyon boss has no choice but to persist with the first team players if he is targetting a cup success for his team.
The season is a typical one for Leicester. Not since the phenomenal 2015-16 title-winning season that the Foxes enjoyed some consistency in their campaign. And the first five months have also gone in the same way; wins here and there and some chastening defeats, including at home, have marred the season up until now.
Leicester are sliding down the table with each passing week and now sit outside the top-10 with 22 points from first 16 games.
The League Cup is an opportunity to put things in order as a knockout game brings with it the high chances of upsets, and Leicester are more than capable of pulling the rabbit out of the hat.
Manchester City:
Fans call it the Mickey Mouse Cup. The managers, by the look of their team selection, don’t take this competition all too seriously. But the so-called ‘little-trophy’ has given some managers a platform to build upon in England. Jose Mourinho’s first triophy as a Chelsea and Manchester United manager was the League Cup and the same can be said of Pep Guardiola who will be more than keen to defend the title.
But Guardiola also has the squad depth and can weak his side for this game. This game could be a perfect setting for Kevin e Bruyne to recover his match fitness. The Belgium star spent most of the season in the treatment room and only returned to the first team action from the bench against Everton on Saturday.
And there’s a talk about City’s young talents like Phil Foden and Oleksandr Zinchenko, both of them are expected to start the match.
In the Premier League, Manchester City slipped to 2nd in the table after Liverpool beat eternal rival Manchester United in a late Sunday fixture.

LEI vs MCI Dream11 FANTASY TEAM:
Team 1:
Last season, Pep had the luxury of giving two youngsters their debut in this fixture but this time the squad is thin and the former Barcelona boss has hinted that he may be naming a strong XI.
Jesus and Iheanacho are our captain and vice-captain. Gundogan is expected to start while Foden and Diaz have started the last two league cup games and are expected to continue in this tournament.
Team 2:
De Bruyne has returned from the injury and this game may be a perfect opportunity for him to gain match fitness. The Belgium star is in our squad. Vardy has only returned from the injury and Claude Puel may not risk his superstar striker in two games in less than three days.
INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:
This will be a rematch of the last-season’s encounter in the same competition which City won 4-3 on penalties. Also, Leicester lost 5-1 in their last match against Pep’s Champions and we back the reigning champions to inflict yet another defeat to the Foxes.
