LEI vs LIV Dream11 Match Preview, Team News, Lineups
Liverpool will look to make it eight wins from the first eight games of the season when they host Leicester City in the Premier League at Anfield, on Saturday evening.
The Reds have been not been entirely convincing despite opening the current season with seven wins.
Sheffield United ran Liverpool ragged for the most part of the 90 minutes and deserved something for their efforts, while Chelsea were the far better team in the 2nd half a fortnight ago and had enough chances to steal a point.
But the important aspect of all those results is that Jurgen Klopp’s men took home 3 points from every Premier League game despite not playing particularly well.
That said, sooner or later, Liverpool will have to improve, because if the teams convert their chances into goals, as Red Bull Salzburg did in the Champions League and almost managed to script a memorable comeback at Anfield, it will be trouble for both Klopp and his team.
Leicester City, meanwhile, come into this match on a run of four consecutive wins in the league, including a 2-1 home win over Tottenham, and 5-0 hammering of Newcastle United last week.

Liverpool Team News:
Joel Matip missed Liverpool’s Champions League game against Red Bull Salzburg in the midweek due to a knock he suffered against Sheffield United last weekend. The 28-year-old Cameroonian is expected to miss this game as well.
While Nathaniel Clyne and Xherdan Shaqiri remain out as well due to their respective injuries.
Liverpool to remain unchanged!
Joe Gomez should partner Virgil Van Dijk again in what should be an unchanged backline from the last game, while the frontline should be composed of the usual suspects Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
If a change comes, it will most probably happen in the midfield. That said, Fabinho has been rock solid this season and will be in the playing 11, while Georginio Wijnaldum is in good form and should start.
Naby Keita took another step towards full fitness after making a short appearance off the bench. But expect him, along with Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain, to feature from the bench only.
Liverpool Probable XI:
Adrian (GK), Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Keita / Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane
Leicester City FC Team News:
James Maddison missed Leicester City’s 5-0 thumping of Newcastle United last week but should be fine for this game having recovered from the injury.
Other than Matty James, Leicester have no injury concerns before this game.
If Maddison is fit to take the field, Dennis Praet should be the man making way for the former Norwich City star, in otherwise what should be a similar XI from the last game.
Leicester City Probable XI:
Schmeichel (GK), Pereira, Evans, Soyuncu, Chilwell, Perez, Maddison, Ndidi, Tielemans, Barnes, Vardy
Likely to score:
- For Liverpool: Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino
- For Leicester City: Jamie Vardy, Ayoze Perez, Harvey Barnes, James Maddison
Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:
Sadio Mane: Opened the scoring for Liverpool in the midweek, his first goal in four games. The 27-year-old Senegal international is one of the key cogs in Klopp’s team.

This season in the Premier League:
- Games: 07
- Goals: 04
- Assists: 03
Roberto Firmino: The selfless striker is the focal point of Liverpool’s relentless pressing. He may not score as frequently as Mane and Salah, but Klopp rates him higher than his two other partners, all due to the variety he brings into the team.
This season in the Premier League:
- Games: 07
- Goals: 03
- Assists: 03
Jamie Vardy: Loves to score against the big teams. He has a good record against Liverpool and will cherish his chances at Anfield.
