NorthEast United started last season very slowly until the appointment of Khalid Jamil swung their fortunes around. The up and coming manager became the first Indian coach of an ISL team. His philosophy is defence first and a rapid counter attack. NorthEast would be looking to continue the momentum from last term and hit the ground running.
