Netherlands quite simply were the least fancied team in this tough group where France and Germany were the forces too big to hustle even for them. Their recent failures in the big tournaments was certainly a factor why they have lost a fear factor about them. The Dutch not only missed the trip to Russia this summer but this was their 2nd successive failure in reaching the football’s showpiece event after not securing a place in the Euro 2016.

The Oranges are now on the cusp of qualifying to the Nations League finals ahead of both Germany and the world champions France. They just need a draw from their trip to Veltins-Arena, something which is more than achievable considering the form of both the teams.
