Meanwhile, Iceland were the surprise package of Euro 2016. They enhanced their reputation further by qualifying for the FIFA World Cup for the first time in their history. However, their stay in Russia was short-lived as they were knocked out in the group stage.

Erik Hamrén and his men also started their Nations League campaign in a worst possible way. Switzerland romped them 6-0, while Belgium enjoyed a rather comfortable outing as Eden Hazard and company won 3-0, making it four losses on the bounce for Iceland heading into this match.

France: There are no major surprises in the squad chosen by Didier Deschamps for the upcoming double-header. The usual suspects should be in the attack – Mbappe on the right; Giroud in the middle; Atletico Madrid’s summer signing Lemar is expected to be on the left flank, with Griezmann enjoying a free role up front. Or maybe, the Atletico Madrid star could start from the bench as Deschamps may want to keep his star player fresh for the battle against Germany.
