FC Goa will be aiming to snap their three-game unbeaten streak when they host high-flying NorthEast United in an Indian Super League match at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Fatorda Stadium), in Margao, Goa, tomorrow on Friday evening (IST).

FC Goa now find themselves seven points off the summit before this match. But in a league where finishing in the top-4 means same for every team after the end of the regular season, manager Sergio Lobera has other things to be worried about than just fretting over the difference between his team and the top.

If there were an award for the most improved team in a season, then the Highlanders would have won it already long before the current season sees its culmination point.

With just 11 games into the 2018-19 campaign, NorthEast United are already nine points better off than last season. They are also 3rd in the points table, having lost just once this season, a 0-1 home loss against Mumbai City over a month ago.

Manager Eelco Schattorie has instilled dogged determination within the team. They are hard to break down and have kept the most clean sheets in the league so far. However, the team has lost some momentum of late, not winning in the last three and scoring just once in those matches.

Also, there is a little danger from the teams below them, in particular from Goa who are only three points away from them but have a game in hand. So in all sense, this game ciuld prove to be pivotal for both the teams.
