FCG vs CFC Dream11 Match Prediction

FCG vs CFC Dream11: FC Goa will be looking for a miracle when they host Chennaiyin FC in the second leg of Indian Super League (ISL) semi-final at Fatorda Stadium on Saturday evening (IST). The Gaurs were humbled 4-1 in the first leg by a resurgent Chenniyin FC team whose appearance in the playoffs still looks a very strange sight considering they were propping up the table when Owen Coyle took charge of the team.
But with a renewed verve and a never-dying faith, the two-time ISL champions turned their fortunes around and are on the cusp of another final appearance. But the 2nd leg will be different, and Coyle knows. He is too experienced to take things lightly ahead of this game.

“When you have any sort of advantage, it’s good to have that. That being said, we know that we have a very dangerous match. Over the course of the 18 games in the league, they have been the best team. I have so much respect for FC Goa and that won’t change (but) we have to make sure that we see our advantage through, not that it won’t present its own challenges,” said Chennai head coach Owen Coyle.

FC Goa vs Chennaiyin FC Team News:

FC Goa Team News:

  • As Goa look to climb the mountain, they can do with a full roster and they have as no player is listed on the injury card ahead of this match, while there is no concern of suspension either. All the players are available for selection.
  • In fact, Goa will be naming different XI here as Brandon Fernandes and Hugo Boumous, who both sat out the first leg, are available to play and will replace Manvir Singh and Len Doungel. Needless to say that the duo’s absence was felt in the middle, as Chennai outpaced, and outrun the Gaurs in that match. But with this duo, it will be a completely different battle in the middle of the park.
  • Edu Bedia, who flew back to Spain for personal reasons, and missed the first leg, is also back with the team.
  • The rest of the squad will be the same as in the first leg.

FC Goa key players:

  • Ferran Corominas: Who else to look up for inspiration than Goa’s leading scorer. What’s more terrifying is that he has a better return in home games. He has 14 goals and 4 assists this season.
  • Hugo Boumous: Arguably Goa’s player of the season. He has scored 11 times and has notched nine assists this season. He is the most creative player in the league.
  • Jackichand Singh: Experienced. He has five goals and three assists this season.

Chennaiyin FC team news:

  • Romanian midfielder Dragos Firtulescu is the only injury problem for the visitors ahead of this match.
  • But he wouldn’t have made the cut in the playing 11 if fit, so expect Coyle to go unchanged here, and with the same formation that has witnessed such a marvellous overturn in the fortunes.

Chennaiyin FC key players:

  • Nerijus Valskis: The 32-year-old Lithuanian will be eager to put his name on the scoresheet after failing to score in the first leg. He is their leading goal scorer this season with 13 goals.
  • Lallianzuala Chhangte: This has been a breakthrough season for the 22-year-old Indian international. He has scored six times and was on the scoresheet in the first leg as well.

FC Goa vs Chennaiyin FC predicted playing 11:

FC Goa: Mohammad Nawaz (GK), Seriton Fernandes, Mourtada Fall, Carlos Pena, Mandar Rao Desai, Ahmed Jahouh, Lenny Rodrigues, Jackichand Singh, Hugo Boumous, Brandon Fernandes, Ferran Corominas
Chennaiyin FC: Vishal Kaith (GK), Laldinliana Renthlei, Eli Sabia, Lucian Goian, Jerry Lalrinzuala, Anirudh Thapa, Edwin Sydney Vanspaul, Rafael Crivellaro, Andre Schembri, Lallianzuala Chhangte, Nerijus Valskis
