EVE vs TOT Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Everton will be looking for their first win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League as they play host to Harry Kane and Company in the league at Goodison Park, in Liverpool, on Sunday night (IST).
Everton:
The Blue half of Merseyside may not have been seen as a formidable opponent since the turn of this century or long before that, but Everton remain one of the super-powers of English football. They have the history which most of the so-called current super clubs are trying to buy with their money, leaving them and many other clubs on the periphery of obscurity.
But Everton are waking up from their slumber. Their recent actions speak that they have finally accepted that the name and the past accolades stand for only so much when competing in today’s world. And there is no better example than a club besides their shoulder, wearing a red kit and always boasting about the biggest history in English football, and still searching for the league title. Something which was no more than Manchester united’s imagination back in 1990.
The Toffees are now ready to spend big on players. Now they have a $50 million man in their ranks, and some bright academy products, and not to mention that the club is planning to move into the 52,000 all-seaters new stadium in the next three years or so. The time is only going to be good for Everton and their fans.
Now it’s all about picking up results against the big teams and in the current context, Tottenham Hotspur are one of the biggest teams in England. They are regular in Champions League and are being seen as a worthy challenger for the titles. And for Everton, it’s a chance to prove that they are not ready to accept the tag of best of the rest.
Tottenham Hotspur:
Mauricio Pochettino’s reputation is growing exponentially with each passing week. And believe it or not, come next summer, he will be the biggest transfer target for football clubs, two in particular which goes by the name of Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Almost spending little or nothing on new arrivals, the former Espanyol manager is doing wonders with Tottenham. The club, for all their struggles in the transfer market, is performing at an unbelievably high level.
At the moment, Spurs are 3rd in the table, only five points behind reigning champions Manchester City heading into this match. But Spurs could find themselves outside the top-4 by the time they kick the ball at Goodison Park as both Chelsea and Arsenal will be playing on Saturday and may sneak past them with wins. So Tottenham could come under pressure in a must-win game.

Everton:
Injured – The Blues don’t have fresh injury concerns ahead of this match.

Questionable – James McCarthy is still a few weeks away from regaining his match fitness and is expected to miss the match.
While holding midfielder Idrissa Gueye is recovering from a groin injury and his situation remains questionable ahead of this match.
Note: Marco Silva has preferred a false nine formation with Richarlison playing as the man at the tip of the forward line. We expect Cenk Tosun to start from the bench only.
Key Players – Sigurdsson, Richarlison

Note: Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela both may find themselves on the bench in this match.
Key Players – Kane, Alli, Eriksen
EVE vs TOT Dream11 Playing 11 – (Probable) –

Tottenham Hotspur – Lloris (GK), Trippier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies, Sissoko, Winks, Son, Alli, Eriksen, Kane
EVE vs TOT Dream11 FANTASY TEAM:
Team 1:
Two talented teams with big ambitions will go head to head and there are a lot of players who can make an impact. And Kane and Richarlison certainly remain the focal point for both Spurs and Everton respectively.
The midfield has a plethora of players who can come up with a moment of magic. Sigurdsson, Eriksen and Alli can pull the rabbit out of the hat. It’s up to you.
Team 2:
The attack remains the same, but we have made some changes in the midfield.
INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:
Everton have a dreadful record against Tottenham Hotspur in recent years. They haven’t won in the last 11 games, losing the last three as well. This will be a tough ask for Marco Silva and his men to fight both against a very talented Spurs side as well as the most recent history.
But Everton were never so talented as they are this season and we think they pose a threat Spurs may not have faced at Goodison Park in the last six years or so.
A home win is our call.
