Delhi Dynamos will be playing host to NorthEast United in the Indian Super League match tomorrow at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi on Monday evening.

Delhi Dynamos:
Delhi Dynamos remains one of the three teams yet to win in this ISL season. The last time they were beaten 2-0 by a resurgent Mumbai City team which has now won twice in the last three games.

It’s that that the Dynamos are playing bad or are struggling gravely in any particular department, but the biggest worry is their lack of patience and composure in front of the goal. In most of the games, Josep Gombau’s team has bossed the possession, created enough chances to have won at least two or three games out of the five they have played. In the last game itself, Delhi got a brilliant chance in the 3rd minute, but Romeo Fernandez’s hasty approach saw the ball flying over the crossbar.

Now the pressure is certainly mounting on the manager Josep Gombau. Even more after Pune City sacked their coach a week ago.

Change the dynamics of the team – Delhi are an attacking team with the likes of Lallianzuala Chhangte, Romeo Fernandes and Nandhakumar performing good so far. But Andrija Kaluderovic is in need of a partner up front as he seems struggling as a lone striker. Daniel Lalhimpuia provides a good option after recovering from an injury. Also, it’s time to give Marcos Tebar a place in the starting eleven after the Spanish midfielder recovered from a hamstring injury. Manager Gambau must change his tactics or he could become the 2nd managerial casualty of the season.

NorthEast United:
The form and the fortunes have certainly taken a dramatic turn for the NorthEast United this season. Having won just 3 games from the 18 regular season games, the Highlanders were by far the worst team in ISL 2017-18 campaign. But they started the season with a bang this time around, drawing 2-2 against FC Goa in the very first game, followed by two biggest results possible in any ISL campaign. NorthEast won 0-1 and 3-4 against the mighty ATK and Chennaiyin FC to further their ambitions for this campaign.

Eelco Schattorie has certainly found a formula to get the most out of the likes of Federico Gallego and Bartholomew Ogbeche.

With two wins and two draws from the first four games, the Highlanders are 2nd and could move to the summit with a win in this game.
