Out: Chelsea have been hit with a major blow ahead of this game after N’Golo Kante returned from the international duty with a groin injury. The Frenchman is joined by German centre-back Antonio Rudiger on the sideline for this game.
Andreas Christensen suffered a hamstring injury while playing for Denmark and has been ruled out for two weeks. Ruben Loftus-Cheek remains a long-term absentee.
Doubtful: Emerson has given Frank Lampard a huge boost ahead of this game as he returned to the training this week. The 25-year-old sustained a thigh injury while on international duty with Italy back in September and returned for Chelsea’s clash with Liverpool, only to suffer another setback in the first half of the 2-1 defeat.
Mateo Kovacic and Reece James are both carrying knocks and the duo will be monitored before the game.

Doubtful: No other injury concerns for Steve Bruce. He is likely to stick with the playing 11 which beat Manchester united 1-0 before the international break.
