Two teams without a win will be locking horns against each other to end their barren run when host FC Pune City welcome defending champions Chennaiyin FC at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, in Pune, tomorrow on Tuesday evening.

FC Pune City:
FC Pune City will look to notch their first win of the current Indian Super League (ISL) season when Chennaiyin FC visit Pune for this crucial match.

More than three points will be on the line for sure as a game between the two rock-bottom teams is usually multiplies by two.

Pune started the season with an away draw against Delhi Dynamos which was a satisfactory start considering it was only possible when Diego Carlos struck in the 88th minute. But it was followed by a 2-0 defeat against Mumbai in the Maharashtra derby which was Punekars’ first loss against their city rivals in the last five games.

While a chastening 0-3 home defeat against Bengaluru FC proved to be the final nail in the coffin for manager Miguel Angel Portugal who was sacked soon after the loss against last season’s finalists.

However, the results haven’t improved under caretaker manager Pradhyum Reddy who has overseen one defeat and a draw in the two games he managed for the club.

Chennaiyin FC:
It’s been a season of unforgettable events for the Chennaiyin FC. With just one point and no wins in the first six games, five of which have been defeats, the title may already be heading towards a different destination this time around.

At this moment, Chennai do look like one of the worst teams in ISL 2018-19 season. Not only they are losing matches, but the contest has been quite one-sided involving them. The back, the midfield and the forward all look fragile and short on confidence as well.

However, manager John Gregory has taken few steps to stop the rot. Like Inigo Calderon has been drafted into the central defence, while winger Francesco Fernando was brought to shore up the right side of the defence.  But nothing has worked out as of now, and you can expect some harsh decisions from Gregory for this particular clash. Somebody has to pay the price for the dwindling performances at some point.
